The Ironclad Bench Press is a bench press and nothing else. The bench is not a separate pad wheeled into position between two uprights — it is built into the frame, bolted to the same base the uprights stand on, so the press is set up the same way every session and cannot drift out of line mid-set.

That is the difference between pressing in a rack and pressing on a dedicated station. A loose bench has to be squared up, centred and eyeballed for depth every time anyone moves it. Here the geometry is fixed, and the only thing left to set is the bar.

The uprights are numbered end to end, and the hole pattern tightens through the pressing range — close spacing exactly where lift-off height and catch height have to be found, wider spacing above and below where they never are. Two lifters sharing the station call out a number instead of guessing, and come back to the same number next week.

J-cups are standard, set on the same numbered pattern, and a pair of weight horns on the base keeps working plates off the floor and within reach of the lifter.

Spotter arms are an optional add-on, and are not shown in the photographs. A pair pins into the uprights and then rotates down into a locking mechanism on the upright, so the arm is held in position rather than sitting on the pin alone — no tools, and off again in seconds. It catches a failed press without a spotter standing over the lifter. Flipped down to store, the arms sit flush with the structure instead of protruding into the walkway or being carried off and lost.

The base is a wide bolt-together frame on four feet with rubber caps — free standing, no bolting down, and heavy enough that unracking from one side does not walk it.

Barbell and plates are not included.
